A shrine forest that is closely tied to the locals

The forest takes up the main part of the local "Citizen's Forest," and it is composed of the main forest section with cedar, cypress, evergreen oak, kobushi magnolia, and more. The main section is surrounded by the man-made forest with cedar and cypress.
There is also a giant sudajii tree with a chest-height diameter of 3.48m recorded at the time of designation.
The age of the cedar is estimated to be 100 years old (give or take 10 years).
A large number of different herbaceous plant varieties have also been identified here, including Arisaema urashima, Japanese fairy bell, miyama-naruko-yuri ("mountain clapper lily"), golden-rayed lily, Japanese Chloranthus, and much more.
