A charming walking path

This park is located along the "Funairi River," which flows through Gomen-machi.
The Funairi River is an artificial waterway developed during the Edo period by Kaneyama Nonaka, a chief retainer of the Tosa Domain.
When Takashi Yanase was a child, rafts and boats used to float down the river from upstream.
Currently, the park features Anpanman stone statues and benches, making it a pleasant place for strolls while overlooking the Funairi River. It's also a famous spot for enjoying cherry blossoms in spring.
