Kasai Jinja Shrine

The birthplace of festival music essential to religious festivals

This historic shrine, founded in the late Heian period, is the birthplace of the vital festival music "Kasai-bayashi."
It features performances during the annual grand festival (mid-September) and the Tori-no-Ichi (end of the year).
In May, the shrine hosts "crying sumo" events to pray for the health and growth of babies.
