The Original Japanese Landscape Woven by Terraced Rice Fields Passed Down Through Generations

The Kainokawa Terraced Rice Fields, where rice paddies of various shapes and sizes are layered one after another, display beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons.
Looking down from the highest lookout point in the settlement, the stunning terraced rice fields spread out in undulating patterns like contour lines, truly allowing you to enjoy the landscape built by the local residents and their predecessors.
Under an owner system, the rice lovingly grown by owners from both within and outside the town shines a vibrant green in summer and a golden yellow in autumn.
In October, the "Tanada Candle Festival" is held, transforming the landscape into a fantastical scene different from the daytime view.
