Fantastical sights of wildly dancing fireflies
This beautiful park is home to abundant nature as well as a clear spring that has been selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan.
From May to early June, approximately 3,000 genji-botaru fireflies dance wildly in the park, and visitors can enjoy the fantastical sights created by their gentle light.
Every year, the "Firefly Festival" is held for several days in late May to early June, and the park is swathed in fantastical light.
The light emitted by countless fireflies is reminiscent of a night sky studded with jewels.
In addition to firefly viewing, food trucks and food stalls will also be available at the festival venue!
You can enjoy the fantastical firefly dance while having your fill of gourmet dishes.
There are walking trails in the park, and rental boats are available at Ideyama Pond, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural scenery of the park to their heart's content.
