A place of memories for Takashi Yanase and his younger brother

Located about 50 meters west of Yanase Takashi, Gomen Station Park, this is a 14-meter-high hill.
It's where Takashi Yanase often played sword fighting games with his younger brother, Chihiro, and it is the setting for his poem "Doshin-zan no Yuuyake" (Sunset on Mt. Doshin), which appears in his book "Ototo Monogatari" (A Tale of My Younger Brother).
This area was once a battlefield during the time of the Sengoku warlord Chosokabe clan, and it is said to enshrine the remains of warriors and warhorses. It continues to be cherished and revered by the local people.
